John Dies at the End (John Dies at the End, #1)

John Dies at the End by David Wong

I had to really pay attention to this one. Let me clarify, it’s not that I don’t usually pay attention to what I’m reading; it’s because the things I was reading were so outlandish that I frequently had to go back to make sure I didn’t hallucinate those strange, strange words. This book was great, I must admit. I don’t normally like drawing comparisons to other authors because I feel it can often do an injustice to them; however it must be said that Wong’s writing is like the accidental baby of Douglas Adams and Stephen King with Chuck Palahniuk as the quirky godfather. The story was progressive, terrifying, hilarious, and downright awesome.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
