Scythe by Neal Shusterman
Summary: The book “Scythe” takes place is the far future where death itself has been cured. Because of this there needs to be a way to keep population down, which why there are scythes, who glean at random. The book follows scythe apprentices and their path to becoming scythes, but only one can be ordained.
Do you recommend this book? I would recommend this book because it is interesting the whole way through. It will leave you wanting to read the next book in the series. I also thought that how the protagonists change in the book was really interesting. I also thought the world of scythe was very interesting and how humanity has progressed so much. Examples of this are how disease can no longer kill people, you can be revived if you are killed (except if you are gleaned by a scythe) and you can even lower your age to whatever age you like. I also must say the book gets REALLY good towards the end.
