2. The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

Linus Baker lives a quiet life with his cat and his records. His job as a Case Worker at the Department in Charge Of Magical Youth is where he spends his days overseeing the well-being of children in government-sanctioned orphanages. Out of nowhere, Linus is offered a promotion that requires him to travel to Marsyas Island Orphanage, where six dangerous children reside: a gnome, a sprite, a wyvern, an unidentifiable green blob, a were-Pomeranian, and the Antichrist. Also there is the children’s caretaker charming and enigmatic Arthur Parnassus. As Linus gets closer with the children and with Arthur he discover something he didn’t know was missing from his life, love. This is an LGBTQ+ Fantasy Romance. It is not a typical romance as a majority of the book is spent on Linus’ relationship with the children, but the romance excels in this book. You can’t help falling in love with the story and characters. Such a wonderful happy read!

3. Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory

Olivia Monroe has moved back to LA to start her own law firm. She has no plans for romance, but one night she meets someone and sparks fly. Turns out that someone is none other than hotshot junior senator Max Powel. Max hasn’t felt a connection with someone as much as he has with Olivia and he is determined to make it work. This novel explores that complications of dating a politician, making for a fun and interesting read. Jasmine Guillory is such an amazing author! This is book five in her Wedding Date Series, but it is not necessary to read them all to understand what is going on in this book. However, I would recommend reading them all! Jasmine Guillory has a way of adding twist to everyday romantic tropes to make them feel new again.
