Meet the Staff Monday with Angelina Kregg

Angelina Kregg started at the White Oak Library District on August 20, 2018. She is a full time Circulation Specialist in the Circulation Services Department at our Crest Hill Branch.

What are your top three favorite books of all time? Although it’s so hard to pick favorite books, three of my random favorites are The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray, and The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

Who is your favorite author of all time? Once again, it is hard to choose just one, so I’m just going to go with Dan Brown

What genres can our patrons quiz you about to find the best books to read? I read across all genres, but I’m particularly knowledgeable about true crime, YA, history, historical romance, and historical fiction

What are your top three favorite bands? Evanescence, Halestorm, and Ed Sheeran

Do you have any pets? I have three cats, the twins Tristan and Yvaine, and LaSalle, the baby.

What is your favorite thing about working at the Library? My favorite thing about working in a library is being able to pursue a career that focuses on my passion for books and sharing that passion with others.

What’s your favorite food? Salmon nigiri sushi

What’s your favorite color? Red and teal

What do you like to do in your free time? Read, embroider, travel, play video games, board games, performing in plays and movies, flea markets and antique stores, ballroom dancing

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you travel, and why? I would want to travel to Poland and the Czech Republic, because they are beautiful countries and that is where my family is from.

What is one cool fact about you? I was recently in an indie film called “Later” where I had to do my own stunt work.
