Bleach (Bleach #1)

Bleach (Bleach #1) by Tite Kubo

This is a lengthy manga, so be prepared. They’re all rather quick reads as most of the pages are artwork. Bleach is an excellent story in conclusion, the melding of Mexican and Japanese culture is really interesting, especially concerning the languages. (The anime was not so good in my opinion, the books are better; as per usual.) The artwork as a whole I would say is 4 stars; mainly due to some weirdness in the facial structure and some inconsistencies with the action sequences. The characters are all very interesting; though I will admit getting a little too confused as the story went on simply because there was so many. All in all though, if you love shonen (Shonen is manga geared towards guys in Japan; translated it literally means “Boy”) manga then you’re in for a wild ride.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
