Book Review: Flawed (Flawed #1) by Cecelia Ahern

Flawed by Cecelia Ahern

This was unusual for me, I really liked it, but it definitely wasn’t what I expected concerning a rise-up type of novel. It was almost like everything was slowed down so that I could see Celestine’s initial feelings of torment, resentment, reluctance, etc. Whereas with other novels of this type, everything happens very fast and suddenly you’re in an all out rebel uprising with tons of action and death. This was subtler, slower, and I really felt more of Celestine’s feelings throughout the whole process of her being branded as Flawed. Which was intriguing and heartrending, the confusion throughout added a layer of tension and overwhelming urgency that made the whole experience quite enjoyable. It was over far too fast.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
