Get Your Passport Now before the Fees Go Up!

Did you know that all three of our Branch Libraries are official Passport Acceptance Facilities of the U.S. Department of State? It’s true! Many staff have been trained by the U.S. Department of State as Passport Acceptance Agents, and we have offered this service since September 2017.

Starting Monday, April 2, 2018 the passport execution fee will increase from $25 to $35. If you’ve thought about getting your passport, but have been putting it off, you might want to do it before this increase.

When applying for a new passport, you will pay two fees; one to the U.S. Department of State and the second to the White Oak Library District. The payment to the U.S. Department of State MUST be made by check (personal, certified, cashier’s, traveler’s) and money orders made payable to “U.S. Department of State.” Credit and debit cards are not accepted.

The second fee is the execution fee paid to the White Oak Library District. We accept checks, cash, and credit card for this fee. Use this link to calculate your passport fee.

We accept applications for NEW passports during the times listed below. Please note that Mondays through Fridays, no appointment is needed. We take applications on a first come, first served basis and implement a wait list when necessary. Saturdays are by appointment only.
